Vishwanath Alluri
Founder, Chairman & CEO
Vish is a leading high tech entrepreneur from India who founded IMImobile in 1999 to capitalise on the emergence of mobile data services.

While initially recognising the potential of the rapidly evolving mobile data space Vish was acutely aware that such fast growth comes hand in hand with increased complexity making the delivery and management of mobile data services challenging. To solve this problem, Vish set out with a vision to build a technology company that would liberate mobile operators, enterprises, broadcasters and content owners of the technological complexity in delivering mobile services on a global basis while helping them to tap into revenue potential.

After pioneering mobile value-added services in India for more than ten years, Vishwanath has realised his vision and evolved IMImobile from a local market player into a global powerhouse.

IMImobile's services are now accessible to 784 million subscribers through 71 operators in 59 countries. With acquisitions such as UK-based WIN Plc in October 2010 and global partnerships with leading mobile operators including Aircel, MTN, O2, Airtel, Vodafone along with the development of the market-leading DaVinci Evolved Services Platform, Vishwanath has evolved managed services into a SaaS model. This has enabled IMImobile to demonstrate leadership on new operational mobile data models in a true virtual marketplace, leveraging economies of scale in service delivery.

Vishwanath is also a driving force behind industry initiatives like MEF's Enablers and introduction of disruptive new business models involving no Capex to customers and on pure revenue sharing model. In October 2010, Vish was listed in the Global Telecoms Business's 100 most powerful people in the telecoms industry, as voted for by leading industry players. Vish has also been named one of Mobile Entertainment Magazine's 50 most important people in mobile content. According to Mobile Entertainment Magazine, a leading mobile industry publication, the list reflects who is, in the words of the publication, 'making the difference' in the mobile content space.
