IMImobile was started in 2000 as a new division of IMI Software Pvt Ltd, a developer of software products for power transmission and telecom towers established in 1988.
The founders, Vishwanath Alluri and Shyam Bhat, established IMImobile with a vision to become a leading provider of technology platforms and value-added services aimed at unlocking new revenue streams from the rapidly expanding mobile data services market. After several years of continued growth and success the original business of IMISoftware, was sold and the company was renamed IMImobile Pvt Ltd in 2007.
The IMImobile Group is now a global end-to-end provider of value added services to mobile operators, media companies and enterprises. The company's DaVinci Platform™ powers a wide range of services created, delivered and managed by IMImobile including: social aggregation, contact management, mobile advertising, mobile marketing, messaging, storefronts, ring back tones and digital music services. These services are enabled through robust technology platforms including carrier grade messaging platforms and gateways, voice platforms, content management and 3rd party application aggregation platforms.
